A new South Sudanese electronic passport replacing the first edition done in a hurry will be out in early November.
Interior minister Alison Manani Magaya told the journalists that the first South Sudanese passports were prepared with urgency and contained mistakes that needed to be corrected.He said the new version should be ready in early November.
Mr. Manani mentioned that the new passport will be electronic to meet international security standards.
He said the ministry is waiting for a printing machine to start issuing the national identity cards.
He added that both the identity card and the passport will be issued at the capitals of state as soon as logistics are ready.
