A thunderbolt struck a hut at Madol, in Tonj South County of Warrap State, razing the dwelling to the ground.
Santino Reec is a journalist working for Don Bosco FM. He said his hut was demolished by a lightening on Saturday morning after he had left for work.He added that he was lucky for being out of the house when the thunderbolt struck.
Mr. Reec said neighbours rescued some valuables like the mattress and the bed before the house went in flames.
He added that this year alone three houses were burned down by lightening at his place.
Mr. Reec thanked God for having saved him from the lightening.
