A lecturer in Upper Nile University said South Sudan universities should introduce English language courses to help students who did their secondary school studies in Arabic.
Ustaz Butrus Omot Othow said that most of the students fail exams due to difficulties with English language, Voice of Love reported.He added that failed students get frustrated in universities and remain idle or doing activities against the society.
Ustaz Butrus explained that South Sudanese students who did their high school in Sudan lack English language skills and prefer to study in Khartoum even facing many troubles in a foreign country.
He urged the concerned ministries and the universities to train students to cope with the situation before they are blamed for their academic failures.
