Information empowers people and can change attitudes and behaviour.
This is the view Francis Jeremiah Shuei, a journalist working for Miraya FM, shared with Voice of Love.Mr. Shuei said information is power and people should to listen to local radios operating in South Sudan for their own benefit.
He told radio listeners that radio programmes inform, educate and entertain listeners.
Mr. Shuei said South Sudan needs several media outlets to complement one another and help citizens to access information.
He added that it is their constitutional right.
Mr. Shuei said communities living in rural areas need more information about peace to keep them away from a culture of violence like cattle rustling.
