The Catholic assistant bishop of Juba visited the ministry of Information two days ago to present to the minster the blessings of the bishops of South Sudan and the message they wrote at the end of their meeting, last week.
Bishop Santo Loku Pio told the press he also congratulated Barnaba Marial Benjamin for his reappointment as minister for information and broadcasting, Bakhita Radio reported.He said he handed an invitation the bishops of South Sudan sent to Dr. Marial to address the Symposium on the Church in Sudan and South Sudan that takes place in Juba on October 13 to 16.
Bishop Loku also informed the minister about the inauguration of another two radio stations in Yambio and Wau of the Sudan Catholic Radio Network.
He said the Church is a partner in the field of mass media and the government should support its efforts.
