The council of ministers is expected to approve the budget for 2011-2012 on Friday in order to give the ministries the resources they need to function.
National Minister for Information Barnaba Marial Benjamin told the press today in Juba that the minister for finance should present the budget for 2011-2012 on Friday to the council of minsters for approval.He added that the ministries are receiving money only to pay salaries.
Dr. Marial said from now on the national budget covers the period between July 1 and June 30 instead of January 1 to December 31.
He added that with the new budget the ministers have the resources they need to carry out their programmes.
