God cares for his Church and is a silent presence among the faithful in South Sudan and in Sudan.
Bishop Rudolf Deng Majok said at the homily of this morning’s mass with the bishops and heads of diocese in South Sudan that the Lord is a silent and caring presence among the Christian communities.Bishop Deng said the Christians in the North will emerge stronger and more purified from the present difficulties.
He criticized the current rush for power and quick money in South Sudan that is leaving people poorer than during the war.
Bishop Deng urged Christians and the church leaders to get rooted in Christ for a more effective pastoral service.
The prelate asked the Christians not to rely only on their skill but in the power of God.
He decried priests who left active ministry and came to Juba to make good money from NGOs.
