NEW CABINET TAKES OATH

The new cabinet of South Sudan took the oath of office today after the national assembly approved it yesterday.

Addressing the press after the event, government spokesperson and information minister Barnaba Marial Benjamin said President Salva Kiir Mayardit told the new ministers and deputy ministers to deliver services and enhance development.

He added that the President called upon the ministers and deputy ministers to fight and discourage corruption.

Dr. Marial said President Kiir told the ministers and deputy ministers about the forthcoming conference in the US about South Sudan’s new development programme.

President Kiir called upon the new cabinet to work harder.
