A borehole mechanic was shot dead on Tuesday at the army barracks in Lainya County.
Lainya County press officer Bullen Lugalla told Easter Radio said that James Towongo was on his way home from work when he was killed.He added that the person who shot the mechanic was arrested and it is under police custody.
Lainya County Commissioner Samuel Suba said that the county military barracks will take care of the funeral because they officially invited the late mechanic to work on their borehole and he died there.
The press secretary mentioned that the security in Lainya is calm.
Police is investigating the motives for Mr. Towongo’s shooting.
