POLICE INVESTIGATES UN STAFF HARASSMENT

The South Sudan Police Service said today it is investigating the assault on a UN human rights official at the hands of security agents last Saturday.

Police spokesperson Mading Biar told SCR News over the phone that he heard of the harassment.

He said he was going to find out what really happened.

Mr. Biar added that the Police Services would carry out investigations to probe the allegations of the harassment.

Benedict Sannoh was allegedly beaten by police while on official mission for the UN Human Rights agency on Saturday in a Juba hotel.
