ARCHBISHOP OF JUBA CALLS ON CHRISTIANS AND MUSLIMS TO VALUE HUMAN DIGNITY

The Catholic Archbishop of Juba has called on Christians and Muslims to join hands to value human life and dignity.

Archbishop Paolino Lukudu Loro issued today a message to the Muslim community to mark the Id El Fitr Al Mubarak, the end of Ramadan, on Tuesday – Bakhita Radio reported.

He said Christians and Muslims must forget their differences and work together for the dignity of the human person.

Archbishop Lukudu added that he is very much concern about the value of human life in South Sudan that seems to be ignored.

He urged both Christian and Muslim leaders to sensitize their congregations for the importance of human life and dignity.

Archbishop Lukudu admitted that relationship between Christians and Muslims in South Sudan were not very good.

He said it is high time to come together and work for the human and spiritual needs of the people of South Sudan.

The Archbishop also noted with great concern the recent huge loss of lives in Jonglei state and the everyday killings taking place in Juba.
