Crop rotation is a significant step forward towards food security by Nuba Mountains farmers.
Concern Food Security Consultant in Heiban Shazali Margani Seliman told farmers to keep on changing the system of planting crops.He said people should practice the method of crop rotation in order to prevent land exhaustion.
Mr. Margani added that farmers should clean the land immediately after harvest to avoid aridity.
He also said agriculture is key to control famine and every person should cultivate a garden.
He called upon the government and the entire community to work hand in hand with the NGOs in order to improve food security in the county.
