CATHOLIC UNIVERSITY DONATES CLOTHS TO ABYEI IDPS

Students at the Catholic University of the Sudan have contributed with cloths to help the people displaced by last month’s fighting in Abyei area.

Students Union president Ganun Victor told Bakhita Radio that his colleagues felt the suffering of the people of Abyei and offered them some clothes in solidarity.

He said the clothes were delivered yesterday to the Humanitarian Office in Juba to be transported to the Abyei IDPs.

Mr. Ganun said the students and other people donated clothing to express the empathy between them and Abyei’s IDPs.

He said they want to show they also were affected by the troubles in Abyei and to express their togetherness with the people affected by the occupation by the Northern army and militias.

The Catholic University students gathered three sacks of clothes among themselves anf from relations.
