A South Sudan party yesterday condemned the looting, killing and bombardment of civilians in Abyei and South Kordofan by the Khartoum government.
South Sudan Democratic Forum (SSDF) leader Martin Elia Lomuro, who is also the presidential advisor on public affairs, asked the international community to mediate a peaceful solution for the crises of Abyei and South Kordofan. He urged the African Union Panel to mediate the negotiations and the two sides in Khartoum and Juba to implement the outcome peacefully.
Dr. Lomuro said the Abyei problem was not the responsibility of the residents of Abyei alone but of entire people of South Sudan.
The SSDF leader called upon all South Sudanese to stand firm with the Abyei people in order to find the solution for the crisis.
