Three agencies from the Government of Southern Sudan are training commissioners, executive directors and senior government officials on budget planning.
The three government agencies include the ministries of finance, public services and labour and local government board.GoSS undersecretary of planning in the ministry of finance Aggrey Tisa told Bakhita Radio that the workshop aimed at giving skills to state officials on budget planning and harmonization.
Gordon Soro, undersecretary in the local government board, said his office wants commissioners and executive directors to assume full responsibilities for planning and budgeting in their respective states.
He said commissioners should not only report spent money but should also show its results to the public.
The workshop that brought to Juba South Sudan’s 79 commissioners together with executive directors from the ten sates states concluded yesterday.
