A journalist detained three weeks ago in Wau was freed on Thursday and he is in Nairobi, Kenya.
Mohamad Arkou Ali, who works for the Darfur Desk of Sudan Radio Service (SRS) was detained in Wau on May 11 accused of taking photographs without permission.
Police also said the journalist had different identity documents with him.
A source at SRS announced that the saga of Mr. Arku was over.
He added that Mr. Arkou is in Nairobi, well and in high spirits despite his three-week ordeal.
