Strikes are evil acts and should not be practiced by students.
This is the position of Isaac Omar Kume, Principal of Karumba Kauda Secondary School in Nuba Mountains.Mr. Omar told Voice of Peace Radio that South Kordofan education Minister Tejani Tima Jameri visited the school and urged striking students to stop with their protest and return to classes.
The minister urged the students who did not pay the second instalment of their school fees to do so.
The minister was accompanied by a number of guests, political leaders and other dignitaries during his visit to Karumba Kauda Secondary School.
The students were on strike over the school fees.
They claimed that the money was not used to fulfil the promises made by the administration.
Each student was expected to pay a fee of 500 pounds in three instalments.
