TONJ POLICE BANS FREE MOVEMENT OF CATTLE IN TOWN

Tonj police has issued an order banning cows from wandering around the town or being left alone while gazing, urging owners to take care of their animals.

Tonj chief inspector of police Joseph Mayei said animals found moving alone will be detained and given to the prisoners or the poor to eat, Don Bosco FM reported.

He added that the measure is meant to keep the town clean and protect the farmers’ fields.

Mr. Mayei said Tonj roads are always full of animals day and night and it contributes to accidents in the town.

The police chief encouraged the people in the County and the entire South Sudan to cultivate effectively to reduce hunger threats.
