A daily newspaper published in Juba is out of circulation for more than one week due to technical problems that halted its printing press.

The Citizen relocated from Khartoum and it is being printed in Juba since January 8.

Chief editor Nhial Bol told Bakhita Radio that the printing machine has developed some electronic problems that require specialized adjustment.

He said the administration hired a technician from Germany to repair the damaged electronic parts of the machine.

Mr. Bol denied rumours that his paper has been closed down.

He said The Citizen would be back in circulation next week.

The German technician is expected to arrive in Juba in one week to fix the electronic hitch that kept The Citizen away from its readers.
