The participants in the procession that started the Church’s campaign towards a peaceful independence prayed at Juba Teaching Hospital and Central Equatoria Prison.

Father Nicholas Kiri Bate urged the patients at the hospital to remain calm because Jesus is always with them, Bakhita Radio reported.

He said death is a result of sin but believers will not die because Jesus lives in them.

Assistant Bishop Santo Loku Pio of Juba told the prisoners that their stay in jail was not meant to torture them but just one way to process life.

He said Jesus underwent a similar situation.

Bishop Loku urged the prisoners to contribute for a better South Sudan.

The participants prayed also for the victims of civil war at the Cemetery and for social sins at Konyo Konyo market.

The prayers encompassed all areas of life including situation in the Abyei region.
