People in Nuba Mountains are overcome by fear due to an increase in cattle raiding and unknown gunmen attacking people in their farms.
Makki Kuna is the local chief of Aumdurdu. He told Voice of Peace Radio that this year people have not stepped out to prepare the gardens.He added that it is difficult for women to fetch firewood.
Mr. Kuna said a man lost forty heads of sheep while in Timbera, eleven sheep disappeared.
The local head of women, Samira Mohamed, called on the attention of the community leaders to settle these disputes and restore security.
