Agok town has run out of food supplies and thousands of displaced by last week’s Abyei violent combats are forced to move again.
Over 15,000 people left Abyei in the wake of the invasion by Khartoum forces and took refuge in Agok.A Church source told SCR News that the town run out of food, especially flour, and the displaced are moving towards Turalei, Winrok and Wau looking for food and safety.
The same source said residents fear that northern forces occupying Abyei could attack Agok.
Yesterday a UN delegation visiting South Sudan said it was very upset by the humanitarian tragedy taking place in Abyei.
