Tonj East County African National Congress party (ANC) former chairperson defected to the Sudan People’s Liberation Movement (SPLM) at the beginning of May.
Thomas Dhal Ayieny said that he worked as ANC chairperson in Tonj East County for four years but he had not seen much done by the party and it led to his defection to the SPLM, Don Bosco FM reported.Mr. Dhal said he expected to be welcomed by the SPLM adding he was ready to follow the party’s discipline.
He added that he was waiting some directives from the SPLM leadership concerning his role in the party.
