Central Equatoria ministry of education has urged the Kush International Church of South Sudan to relocate from the school land they are occupying in Juba.

Education Director General David Lowela Modi told Bakhita Radio that his office does not have legal documents authorizing the Church to operate in the school land.

He explained that temporary or permanent school facilities are not suitable for Church activities.

Mr. Lowela strongly urged the Church to relocate immediately within this week.

George Kenyi is a teacher in Juba Day Secondary School; he said the administration wrote to the state authorities requesting the removal of the Church from the school land.

Mr. Kenyi explained that Church activities are disruptive in the school environment.

Reverend Abraham Chol, the prophet of the Kush International Church of South Sudan, said the state governor, the ministries of physical infrastructure and education allowed him to operate in the land temporarily.

The disputed land falls between Juba Day, Juba Commercial, and Nile Model secondary schools.

The land belongs to the Central Equatoria Ministry of Education.
