An NGO is financing the construction of basketball courts in an effort to keep the youth busy and away from cattle raiding.
Sophi Rutenbar, a programme analyst with AECOM International, told SCR News over the phone that her organization inaugurated a basketball court three weeks ago in Thuraley, Warrap State.She added that the project intends to keep the youth out of trouble.
Ms. Rutenber said that there are another three basketball courts being built in Unity and Lakes states.
She added that the basketball courts are financed by USAID and AECOM International is the implementing partner.
