Cleaning up of Tonj town in Warrap state begins on Saturday to control potential outbreak of diseases. This will be the second Tonj town general cleaning.
The Town Council executive officer Joseph Anei said the idea came after a consultative meeting with the public health officers and the county authorities on how to address the issues of hygiene in the county.
He added that the targeted areas are the main market, hospitals and schools.
Mr. Anei said the whole community, pupils, qualified and unqualified staff, will involve in the cleaning.
He noted that Saturday and Sunday are spared for the cleanings in the town.
