SPLA PLEDGES BETTER SECURITY DURING INDEPENDENCE CELEBRATION

The spla official spokesman said security will be good during the declaration of south Sudan’S independent in July.

Speaking to Bakhita Radio, Philip Aguer Panyang said despite the presence of militias in South Sudan the region will celebrate its official independence peacefully.

He assured citizens of South Sudan that the army is in control of security across the region.

Colonel Aguer revealed that the militias in Jonglei state were paralyzed by the SPLA and were no longer active as usual.

Recently South Sudan witnessed a spat of attacks by militias in Jonglei, Unity and Upper Nile states.
