Ten students failed to turn up for examinations and exam papers were sent in the wrong language to Eastern Equatoria.

Six boys and four girls missed sitting their school leaving certificate examinations at Eastern Equatoria state centre at Torit.

The state deputy director for curriculum and examinations Severino Okelo Akule told Emmanuel Radio that the absentee students could be among the returnees who failed to turn up for the tests.

Mr. Okelo said the examinations are being affected by multiple anomalies in Eastern Equatoria state.

He explained that the tests were brought by the Central Equatoria education authorities from Khartoum and some exams for English pattern students are in Arabic language.

Mr. Okelo added that lack of funds and hunger are affecting the candidates.

About 290 pupils that include 206 from public schools and 87 private students registered in Eastern Equatoria for the Sudan School Leaving Certificate examinations this year.
