Two people died and 14 were injured in a road accident in Warrap State.
Mary Poni, who works at Tonj Hospital, told Don Bosco FM that one passenger died at the hospital and 14 were admitted for treatment after an overloaded matatu’s tire burst and the vehicle rolled over in the busy Thiet-Tonj route.Ms. Poni said a lactating mother, a seven months pregnant woman, ten men and three minors were admitted in Tonj Hospital for medical treatment.
Poorly maintained matatus together with reckless driving are among the causes for the high rate of mortal accidents in South Sudan roads.
