The Director of Radio Easter stresses that there is need to share information about
the security status and the progress of peace in the country.

Fr. Emmanuel Lodongo Sebit says most refugees and IDPs are not aware of the
situation in South Sudan.
He was speaking during one-day Cross Border Network or CBN round table
community conference in Yei River County.

The conference was under the theme “Peaceful coexistence aims at sharing South
Sudan security status for peaceful coexistence and safe voluntary return of
refugees”.
Geri Moses of RECONCILE, representing civil society group, recommends the
government to provide good security for the citizens, IDPs and returnees.

He advises the internally displaced people and the host community to welcome the
refugees’ home.
South Sudan’s CBN regional coordinator Josephine Achiro appreciates the
stakeholders for sharing the challenges facing the displaced people from Congo and
Sudan.
CBN is an association working with Catholic Radio network set up in 2017 between
South Sudan and neighbouring countries.

The conference held in Radio Easter station brought in twenty stakeholders with
some representatives from IDPs, returnees and refugees in Yei River County.
