A South Sudan Human Rights official was in Lainya County yesterday to assess the conditions of the local prison.
Press secretary for Lainya County Lugala Bullen told Easter Radio over the phone that John Bananthe went to Lainya to see the condition prisoners were kept in the facility.Mr. Bullen added that Lainya police administrator Alhaj Amos said the force needs more officers to discharge its duties properly.
The press secretary said Lainya County Commissioner was impressed by the visit and approved it.
The Human Rights director was accompanied by the commission’s coordinator in his visit.
