NEW JUBA BRIDGE SURVEY READY NEXT YEAR

The technical survey for a new bridge in Juba is progressing and it is expected to be ready by the end of the year.

Japan International Cooperation Agency deputy resident representative Yasuhiko Wada told SCR News that his organization is planning to build a new bridge across the White Nile in Juba.

Mr. Wada said the bridge will be constructed south of the existing crossing.

Mr. Wada said there is need for a detailed work because the new bridge.

He said the study will consider environmental and social aspects because people are going to be displaced due to the construction.

Japan International Cooperation Agency JICA came to Juba in 2006 after the CPA. It is an implementing organization of Japan official Assistants and it has two main programs of basic human needs and helping conflict affected people.
