Fifty eight people are undergoing treatment in Malakal Teaching Hospital after last week’s George Athor’s attack on Fangak, Jonglei state.

The hospital’s medical director Tut Gony told Voice of Love that 60 people were transported from Fangak to via Tonga but two died before receiving treatment.

Dr. Gony said six patients were in a very serious condition and three of them were operated upon.

He added that one patient was referred to Juba for further treatment.

Dr. Gony explained that most patients with lesser injuries are being treated at the hospital with the help of staff from the International Committee of the Red Cross.
