UPPER NILE PARLIAMENT DISCUSSES STATE BUDGET

Upper Nile State Assembly yesterday discussed the 2011 budget with the health sector receiving a big increase of funds.

MP Tut Simon told Voice of Love that the budget for the Ministry of Health was 70 percent bigger than last year.

Mr. Tut said the increment allows the ministry to improve health facilities and services in the state.

He added that with the new budget the state government will be able to employ graduates and improved education and the roads in Upper Nile state.

Mr. Tut explained that Upper Nile state plans to raise its income from taxes, agricultura, animal production and oil.
