Parish Priest of Christ the King Cathedral in the Catholic Diocese of Yei appealed to every South Sudanese to stop revenge and forgive their enemies to stay together as one people.

Fr. Tom Poru Martin said most of the ongoing fighting in the country is due to revenge because people do not want to forgive those who wronged them.

He advised that all are created by God, whether they are good or bad people.

Fr. Tom prayed to God to send His Holy Spirit to people’s hearts to realize that staying in conflict with one another spoils the country.

The priest encouraged Christians and Muslims to continue praying and fasting every Thursday and Friday, as announced by the religious and government authorities to combat covid-19 in the country and the entire world.

The Parish Priest of Christ the King was passing his message on Sunday through Radio Easter in Yei.
