An official from the South Sudan Women Empowerment Network has called on the SPLM to fulfil the 30 percent of political places it pledged to women during its election campaigns.

Angelina Daniel Sika said the 25 percent feminine participation in political posts granted by the CPA did not meet the expectations of the women of south Sudan.

She said women pay a big role in the community and they should be also part of the decision making process.

She called for women’s participation to be amplified in all GoSS levels.

Madam Angelina made this statement during a SPLM meeting with members of civil society, faith based organization and the media on their roles in the constitution review.
