A priest in the Catholic Diocese of Torit is calling on leaders to practice good leadership as servants of Christ.

Fr. Egidio Okanyi says many leaders lack good leadership skills, corrupt and working for personal interest, Radio Emmanuel reports.

He warns that corruption limits development, creates deficiency in health sector and causes conflicts among communities.

‘When leader don’t think of people there is a lot of suffering in the society, and there will be no money for basic services for people in the country. All these are consequences of bad leadership and equally even in the context of the church when there is bad leadership we have problems. Today it’s a challenge for us all it’s not so easy because the idea of good shepherd according to Jesus is the one that become a servant of his people’.
