UJOSS appeals for freedom of Journalists in South Sudan

As the world marked International Press Freedom Day on Sunday, Union of Journalists of South Sudan or UJOSS chairman in Eastern Equatoria State is calling for press freedom in the country.
 
Speaking to Emmanuel Radio James Kabaka Quintous Leone says there is need for Journalists to freely exercise their duties without fear or favour because accurate information is very vital to the society.
 
Quintous who is also the News Editor of Emmanuel Radio calls for an end to harassment, intimidation and attacks on media practitioners as they are voice of the voiceless.
 
He assures citizens that journalists in Eastern Equatoria will continue to embrace their professional code of conducts.
 
The state chairman appeals to public to cooperate with reporters whenever information is needed.
 
UJOSS state chairman also encourages Journalists to continue delivering information without fear or favour despite their challenges.
 
Leader made the remarks during Radio Emmanuel’s ‘Good Morning Eastern Equatoria’ program on Monday.
