A political analyst pointed out challenges that the NCP is facing in the northern Sudan if it does not reconsider its policies.
John Ashworth told SCR News that the north has one major war in Darfur and a new rebel movement is emerging in Gezira. Tensions are also getting high in far north.He added that the traditional opposition parties in the north may now look for regime change.
Mr. Ashworth said that the political parties in Khartoum may feel the loss of SPLM MPs in the nation assembly.
Popular consultation started in Blue Nile on January 15 2011 while registration started in South Kordufan a few days ago.
