A MP in Central Equatoria parliament said that the interim constitutions of Sudan and Southern Sudan do not include the youth.
Tom Wani explained to the Youth Forum organized by South Sudan TV in Juba that the youth are not represented in the government of Southern Sudan and in the various states because they had no space in the Constitution, Bakhita Radio reported.
He added that the youth have no representation within the political parties’ statutes.
Mr. Wani called for a youth representation in the next government after the south becomes independent.
Mr. Wani concluded that the youth were not considered in the previous elections.
The SSTV Youth Forum took place on Thursday and was attended by more than 40 university students and members of youth groups.
