Women expressed happiness for their huge participation in the last week’s referendum on the self determination for the people of Southern Sudan.
Sonya Zino is a MP for Western Equatorial State; she said women turned up in large numbers during the voting to liberate the country in honour of the fallen heroes.Jackline Novello, who chairs GoSS Women Referendum Task Force, said the government should look into the issues affecting women after the referendum.
She asked the government to employ qualified women saying they are faithful and committed and that she believes they can do better.
The two politicians made their statements yesterday in Yambio.
