The advisor on Gender and Social welfare in Torit State calls on men to stop domestic violence in greater Magwi County.
According to Radio Emmanuel, Betty Ayaa while addressing gathering at Acholi Peace Dialogue organized by Peace Link Foundation says previously there was no cases of beating women in the county.
She stresses that issues of domestic violence is on increase in the Acholi land
The official calls on both men and women to respect themselves and avoid causing suffering to children at home.
Advisor Ayaa warned women against excessive consumption of alcohol.
Meanwhile youth representative Otto David calls local people to work together for peace to prevail in the area.
Otto appreciates the Peace Link Foundation for organizing the peace dialogue in the community.
The speakers made the remarks during a peace dialogue this week in Magwi County.
