Three top NCP members defected to SPLM only three days before the referendum.
John Dor Majok, who was the governor of Unity State from 2001 up to 2005 and currently the NCP advisor for White Nile state in northern Sudan, told the press yesterday that the NCP followed the policy that some members weremore equal than others.Mr. Dor accused his former party for being hypocritical and discriminatory.
Antipas Nyok, SPLM secretary for Political Affairs, welcomed the defecting NCP members and assured them that they joined the SPLM at a time when the party is leading south Sudanese to freedom.
The defecting members were John Dor Majok, Dr Jal Tador and Clement Dau, both former officials in the NCP secretariat.
