At least 138 domestic observers were trained to carry out observation duties in the upcoming referendum in Juba County.
Harriet Baka Nathan, a member of Sudanese Network for Democratic elections (SuNDE); told Bakhita Radio that her organisation was training another 2500 observers to cover the remaining seventy five counties of the southern Sudan.Ms. Baka explained that SuNDE will provide the trainees with a checklist to assist them to monitor the referendum.
Ms Baka said that SuNDE will use all forms filled by its observers to elaborate a final statement on the vote that will be made public through the media.
