Yei River County Commissioner issued a standing order banning all public video shows and discos, and closing bars and shops selling any type of alcoholic drinks.
David Lokonga Moses said heavy trucks were not move in the town at late hours starting from tomorrow until the referendum process is over, Easter Radio reported.Mr. Lokonga warned drunkards not to drink until the referendum is over.
He said those found drunk will be arrested and the person who sold the alcohol will be punished.
The commissioner urged the security units, payam directors, and chiefs to ensure full implementation of his order.
