A women’s referendum organization yesterday vowed to have a new independent state in the referendum for self determination.
Jackline Novelo is the Chairperson for Women’s Referendum Taskforce. She assured the people of southern Sudan of their commitment to have the referendum on time and achieve a new country regardless of the challenges they may face.Ms Priscila Joseph, a member of taskforce, revealed that her organization is going to monitor the referendum process.
Ms Priscila said her taskforce would ensure that all potential voters must cast their votes in the referendum.
She added the taskforce will collect some money to pay for citizens who need transport to vote.
Nine days are left for the plebiscite to kick off.
