A GoSS minster said women are the majority of the population and they can break or make the referendum.
Mary Jarvas Yak heads the Ministry of Human Resource Development. She told SCR News that the referendum is the goal of 50 years of struggle and not less than five million of lives were lost since 1955 for the cause of self-determination.Ms Jarvas urged all women who registered to come out and vote.
The Minister added that women are very busy but she urged them to make time to vote in the referendum as their priority.
Ms. Jarvas said some referendum centres were too far from the villages.
She suggested that some centres could be mobile to help people living faraway to cast their vote.
Ms. Jarvas said she expected some transportation to be provided for voters in remote places.
