WESTERN EQUATORIA GOVERNOR URGES SECURITY ALERT AHEAD OF REFERENDUM

The governor of Western Equatoria State urged the local communities and churches to be on alert especially during the upcoming referendum which he described as that final move towards freedom.

In a Christmas message Joseph Bakasoro Bangasi said next year is going to be a challenging year which needs vigilance for every one.

Mr. Bakasoro invited Christians to celebrate Christmas in an organized manner and in groups to help those who may not have anything to eat that day.

The governor reminded those who registered for the referendum to remain in their villages, bomas, payams, and towns where they registered to wait and cast their historic vote.

Mr. Bakasoro urged farmers to start planning agriculture production to change from laziness and dependency to active and effective productivity in all fields.

The governor asserted that farmers should explore opportunities for sustainable agriculture production and other income generating projects.

Mr. Bakasoro pledged that his Government would continue to support churches and international organizations in their service delivery to the citizens of Western Equatoria.
