Members of the Eastern Equatoria legislative assembly yesterday failed to approve the State budget for 2011.
The budget was presented to the House just before it went for Christmas recess and the financial document could not be scrutinized by the committee members, Emmanuel Radio reported.The budget will be discussed when the House meets again in January.
Deputy Speaker Paul Napwon said the government is authorized to use the money in the budget before its approval.
The Catholic Radio Network (CRN) is a media project constituted by community-based radio stations broadcasting in Frequency Modulation from Juba, Yei, Torit, Yambio, Rumbek, Tonj, Wau, and Malakal. For its outreach, CRN has a potential audience of about seven million people, considering the influx of returnees to South Sudan after the Sudan Population Census 2008.
