Yei River County Referendum Subcommittee said it disqualified 88 names of registrants from the voter registration book.
Public Outreach official Fr. Simon Khamis Mabe told Easter Radio the names were disqualified because some were citizens below the age of 18 years and others were foreigners from neighbouring countries.Fr. Khamis said that some names were deleted from the registration books because they lost their voter cards and failed to collect them from the referendum subcommittee office while others meanwhile died.
Fr. Khamis urged voters not to put their cards in the pockets because they are slippery and can easily fall and be lost.
